ICOA TO DISTRIBUTE AND SUPPORT TEAMDRIVE SOLUTIONS IN ITALY

Much to earn for the Italian SMBs from reduced costs and improved performance when dealing with mobile workforce, home workers and multiple offices.

Hannover, March, 2 2010 - TeamDrive Systems (www.teamdrive.net), maker of the versatile and highly secure namesake software for data syncronization, backup and distributed teamwork, joins forces with the ICT consultancy and services company ICOA (icoa.it) to enter the Italian market.
ICOA will resell Teamdrive solutions to the end users and professionals alike and will integrate them into its cloud computing strategy.

Formerly provided as hosted services, the CEBIT expo also marks the general availability of the in premise version, to suit the needs of many small and medium businesses.

Just copying files on notebook's hard drive back and forth from central servers requires a great deal of user intervention, with high risks of data loss and version mismatches.

Volker Oboda, TeamDrive Sales Director remarks: “with TeamDrive, syncronization happens invisibly when Internet is available, in real time and with no distraction for the users. This can come very handy also in satellite offices, when land lines to the headquarters may be temporarily impaired: with TeamDrive, no downtime would result at all. It's one of the scenarios where the just launched, in premise 'Personal Server' version would fit ideally”.
Costs, ease of deployment and security are major concerns to Italian SMBs and professionals.

Security comes in the form of data encryption, backed by the German Data Security Seal of Approval (pending the release of equivalent EU certification), document versioning and conflict management, and definitive file deletion under administrator's control, to prevent accidental errors and facilitate auditing and compliance to regulation. Usage rights on the shared spaces can be defined in great detail.

While not strictly a backup solution in itself, TeamDrive can be used as such, offering on line protection, data duplication among PCs and allowing mobile users to be consolidated in the company's standard practices.
The software is available for the Windows, Mac and Linux platforms. A plug in in available for the open source office suite OpenOffice (www.openoffice.org) for improved functionality.
